DC Power Supply. This element provides energy for currents to flow. Place up to five power supplies in the simulation window. With the Select tool, you can move and (in Schematic View) rotate power supplies, and wire them to other objects. You attach wires to the power supply's two nodes, which are indicated by the yellow rectangles in Figures 1 and 2.

The default voltage of the power supply is 12 volts, which you can reset in the power supply's Properties Box up to a maximum value of 1000 V. The power supply displays the voltage it currently supplies (see Figures 1 and 2).

You can also set the stored total energy (default is 1000) of the power supply. Even for current under the maximum value (see below), the power supply gradually loses its initally stored energy.

The simulator assumes that power supplies are recharged between simulation runs. It retains no memory of power supply discharges.

The hidden property in the Properties Box is the maximum continuous current (default is 1.0 amps) that the power supply can support. If current exceeds this value, the power supply will rapidly discharge. If you reveal this property, you can reset the maximum current.
