Palette Permissions: Palette Permissions Boxes allow you, as the instructor, to determine which simulator options are available for students to use. The Permissions Boxes allow you to hide or disable those buttons you do not want the students to use.

To open a Palette Permissions Box, position the cursor over a button palette such as the Control, Elements, or Graphics palette. Press the Shift key and click the mouse (left button on the PC). A password window appears. Enter either the security password you chose or the default password , which is . Click OK.

The Permissions Box lists the buttons by name and icon in the order they appear on the palette (left to right, top to bottom). Hide the buttons you don't want students to see and disable the buttons you want students to see but not use. Uncheck hide to reveal buttons and the disable checkbox to enable buttons.

All Permissions Boxes have three buttons:

  • OK: Changes in properties take effect and Properties Box closes.
  • Cancel: Cancels changes in properties and closes Properties Box.
  • Apply: Changes in properties take effect. Properties Box stays open.
