Particle
Reactor. Located in the
Small
Particle
Region,
this element allows the
user to combine
elements
into one of the
compounds
available in the
Substance
Palette, or one of the
additional
compounds that you can
form in the
Chemistry
Reactor Simulator.
To place
particles
in the Particle Reactor, click on substance
buttons respresenting
elements or use the particle
scoop, and click on the
Reactor's
input
chutes at the
top
(two left figures below). To
get the elements to react, click on the
Run
button. The output appears in the
output
bin (third figure from
left). With Select
depressed, you can move the output out of the bin
(right figure) and analyze the output using the
simulator's other tools.

button.
Note.
If the substances in the input chutes cannot combine to form
one or more of the compounds in the
Substances
Palette, a
warning
appears that says These substances will not react with
each other. In some cases, this warning appears even if
the substances can react, simply because the substance is
not included in the Substances Palette.
Example: Ammonia (NH3).
