Water Container (Particle). Particles of some substances placed in this container dissolved into their component ions. Other substances keep their molecular form, provided that they are soluble.

To place a particle in the Container, you can (A) click on a button in the Substance Palette and then click on the Container; (B) use the Particle Scoop; or (C) use the Select tool to move a particle into the Container. For methods A and B, wait to click on the balance until a small black rectangle appears around the top tray. For method C, wait to release the mouse button until the same rectangle appears (Figure 1). The particles placed in the Container ionize (or don't) immediately (Figure 2.

You can use the Particle Scoop to extract the ions from the Container (Figure 3). The Properties Boxes of the ions include information on their charge state. You can use ions in the Particle Reactor.

To clear the contents of the Particle Water Container (except the water!), depress Select and click on the red button.
