Substance (Molar) Scooper. With this tool, you can create a lump of a substance that has a between 1 (default) and 20 moles (1 mole = 6 × 1023 particles). You can set the Quantity of Substance (that is, the number of moles) in the tool's Properties Box (double-click on the Substance Scooper button).

To use this tool, depress the Substance Scooper button. A oval-shaped scooper now follows the cursor as you move it around in the Substance Region (Figure 1). Click on any substance in the Substance Region to fill the scooper (Figure 2). Then deposit the scoop by clicking on an open spot in the Substance Region (Figure 3), or by clicking on the tray of the Balance, in the Thermal Container, or on an input chute of the Substance Analyzer or the Substance Reactor.

If you click on a lump of substance that has a smaller number of moles than the scooper picks up, a warning will appear that says, You can't scoop because the quantity of substance is insufficient.
