Generator (Genecon). This element tranforms mechanical energy into electrical energy. Place up to three generators in the simulation window. With the Select tool, you can move generators and wire them to other objects. You attach wires to the generator's two nodes, which are indicated by the yellow rectangles in Figures 1 and 2.

To change the frequency at which the generator's crankshaft turns, click on the up and down arrows (Fig . 3 below). The arrows change the frequency in intervals of 0.2 Hz. The voltage supplied by the generator is equal to 2.6 times the frequency. For example, if the crankshaft turns at a frequency of 2 Hz, the generator supplies a power of 5.2 volts. The maximum frequency is 2.6 Hz.

To change the direction of the crankshaft's revolution, click on the counterclockwise or clockwise buttons (Fig. 4).

You can change the frequency and direction in either Run mode or Stop mode. You can also set the frequency (speed) and direction in the generator's Properties Box.
