Stop: Depressing the Stop button puts the simulator in Stop mode. Stop mode is the default operating mode for all simulators. In Stop mode, you can place elements and prepare setups for simulation runs. Only in Stop mode can you access the Standard Menu.

In Static Electricity and Magnetism simulators, electric and magnetic fields do not "work" in Stop mode. Neither model views nor microscopic views of elements are available.
