Impulsive Force Vector: Use this tool to give body elements impulsive external forces during Run mode. To attach the impulsive force vector, click on the target body, then drag out the vector in the direction and to the length you desire. The impulsive force vector appears as a thin gray line.

You can later change the length and direction of the impulsive force vector by resizing it, or by setting the strength (magnitude, in N) and direction (degrees) in the vector's Properties Box. You can also establish the impulsive force's start time (up to 10 seconds after the start of the simulation [initiated when you click on Run]) and the force's duration (between 0.1 and 10 seconds). By default, an impulsive force starts one second into the simulation run and lasts for one second.

You can attach multiple impulsive force vectors to one body. You may place up to 20 impulsive force vectors.

In the Properties Box, you can also set the label the impulsive force vector (default is F) and show (or not show) the vector's label, length (i.e., magnitude or strength), and direction (default is to show only the label).

Placing a impulsive force vector disables the acceleration vector tool.
