Accumulation Meter: The Accumulation Meter integrates, or accumulates the area under the plot drawn by the Graph Tool. It functions only in Pause mode and Stop mode. Place an accumulation meter by clicking on a graph tool. The meter appears below the graph tool and is attached to it. You may only place two accumulation meters. Details for operating the accumulation meter are provided next to the figure below.

In the figure to the right, the graph tool plots the elastic potential energy of Parent (a body element) against time.

The accumulation meter displays the integral of the curve between x0 and x1. The red slider at the location of the cursor controls the separation between x0 and x1. Thus, to set x1, you must first set x0 by moving the meter itself. Then you must move the slider.

To shade the accumulated (integrated) area, you need to click-and-drag the switch into the up (on) position (the initial setting is down [off]).

Note that you cannot move the slider or adjust the switch in Pause mode, and you can only move the meter with arrow keys if it is selected.
