Simulator Properties: To open the simulator Properties Box, depress Select and double-click on the simulation window background.

In the Properties Box, you have three choices for treating beam intensities. If you choose relative brightness (default), the simulator uses a relative scale. If you choose threshold brightness, the simulator uses an absolute scale. If you choose 3-beams optimized brightness, the simulator determines a scale based on the presence of three projectors with overlapping beams. The table below illustrates the differences between these three options. Each beam projector is shining a high-intensity beam through a red filter.

Relative Brightness

Threshold Brightness

3-beams Optimized

If you plan to use only one projector, threshold brightness is adequate for most purposes. If you plan to use up to two projectors, relative brightness is probably the best choice. If you intend to use all three projectors, 3-beams optimized brightness is the top choice.
