This button activates the Save Applet, which saves simulator setups. Teachers can save default simulator setups that students load using the Load applet. All users can save their own setups that they can later load and to which no one else has access (see the Login applet).

To save simulator setups, simply click on the Save button (teachers using PCs should left-click). The applet will automatically save the setups of every simulator (including Graphics and Portfolio applets) on the current browser (web) page. To reload the saved setups, use the Load applet. The Save applet stores the setup files in the individual user subfolders of the Archives folder.

To save default simulator setups, log in under the name teacher. Create the setups you wish to save. Then right-click (PCs) or Apple-click (Macs) on the Save button. A window pops up asking you if you want to save this page as default? Click Yes (or No if you made a mistake). The Save applet stores the setup files in the Setups folder.

When students open the same browser (web) page, they only need to click on the Load button to load the default setups. Exception: If students have previously opened the browser page and saved setups, clicking Load will load the setups they saved, not the default setups you (the teacher) created.

Warning: Although the Save applet stores setups just like the Save HTML applet and the Save option on the Standard Menu do, the Save applet functions quite differently. Avoid confusing the three Save features.
