Detector Scope. The Detector Scope tool allows you to see how Material A and Material B look to the detector (the eye, IR/UV camera, or your own detector). After you click the Detector Scope button, a pair of hands holidng binoculars tracks the cursor as you move the cursor across the simulation window. To see how Materials A and B look to the detector, click in the Detector Region (left image). A small window entitled Detector's View appears that shows what the detector sees (right image).
When the detector is either the IR/UV camera or one of your own design (unless the show results in color vision box is checked), the Detector's View window displays gray-scale images that indicate the intensity of the detected light. In the Detector's View window, checking the enable refresh box means that every time you change the detector or its properties, or change the materials, the view updates immediately. By clicking Copy to Clipboard, you can paste the detector's view in the simulation window. The Closei button closes the Detectors View window. |
