Baffle: Baffles partly absorb and partly reflect incident "ripple" waves. You can only place baffles in Ripple Tanks. Once you put a baffle in a Ripple Tank, you can move it freely within the tank, but you cannot move it out of that tank.

To place a baffle, click in the Ripple Tank, then drag out the baffle in the direction and to the length you desire. You can later change the length and direction of the baffle by resizing it.

In the baffle's Properties Box, you can choose a reflection coefficient between 0 and 1. If the reflection coefficient is zero, the baffle completely absorbs incident waves. If the reflection coefficient is one, the baffle completely reflects the waves.

If a Ripple Tank has a movable bottom, you must remove baffles and point sources before running the simulation.
