Sound Level Meter: A sound level meter displays the sound level of an incoming signal in decibels. By default, sound level meters operate during both Stop mode and Run mode. You can place between one and three sound level meters and move them freely about the simulation window. Remember that decibels is a logarithmic scale. A change of 3 db corresponds to a doubling of input signal amplitude, or a four-fold increase in the intensity of the incoming signal. In the meter's Properties Box, you can decide if the sound level meter will work in Stop mode. You must place a sound level meter to plot sound levels using the graph tool. The sound level meter is one of four wave measurement tools in Sound Lab. |
