Piano: The piano has twelve keys, each of which plays when struck by the hammer tool. Piano keys always play a single note. You can place between one and four pianos (one for each octave) and move them freely around the simulation window.

In the piano's Properties Box, you can change the octave of the piano keyboard. You have four octaves to choose from. If you place all four piano objects and give them different octaves, you can nearly reproduce a full piano keyboard.

You can also choose to sustain the piano key. Only sustained piano keys send out signals during Run mode (the sustain function tells the simulator which keys to play). Only by checking sustain can you play more than one piano key at a time (you may sustain up to four keys). Unlike sustainted phone buttons, sustained piano keys do not send out continuous signals.

You must use the hammer tool to select the sustained keys. You deselect the key by striking it again with the hammer tool.

The prehearing option allows you to hear the piano keys play in Stop mode. Prehearing is on by default.

The piano is one of nine sound sources in Sound Lab.
