Instant Verification Issue
Sorry, something went wrong with the instant verification process.
Please use our non-member verification process.
It looks like you are a student.
Only non-student members of AAPT can get instant educator verification.
If you still think you should have access, here's what to do if you are:
We commend you for your interest in learning physics. However, these resources are designed for research, and if students use them for studying, it makes it harder for researchers to use them to assess the impact of their instruction. We encourage you to access the many other resources for students available on the web.
We do not allow undergraduate students to access our resources directly. Please ask your faculty advisor to request access, and to provide you with the resources you need for your research.
Please use our non-member verification process. If you are listed as a member on your research group's website, include a link to that website in the form. Otherwise, ask your faculty advisor to send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org verifying that you are a member of their research group.
Please use our non-member verification process. If you are listed as an instructor on your departmental website, include a link to that website in the form. Otherwise, ask the faculty member who assigned you to teach the course to send an email to email@example.com verifying that you are teaching a course.
Please update your status with AAPT or use our non-member verification process for manual verification.
Thank you for your interest in PhysPort. Because your account is classified as an AAPT Sustaining Membership, we will need some more information about how you wish to use these materials. PhysPort restricted resources are available only for instructor use in courses or for use in education research studies.
Please use our non-member educator verification process, and under “Work website”, tell us more about your interest in full access to PhysPort or possible collaboration.
Verification may take 1-2 business days.
It looks like you have a trial membership, which is not currently eligible for instant verification.
Please use our non-member educator verification process.
It looks like you are not a current member of AAPT, so you are not eligible for instant verification.
AAPT account issue
There is a problem with your AAPT account. Please contact AAPT member services to resolve it.
To be verified as an educator, please provide your AAPT username and password OR information about your institution. Why should I do this?
To protect the privacy of students and PhysPort users, only college faculty or high school teachers can:
If you are a member of the American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT), you can get instant verification. Otherwise, verification may take 1-2 business days.
I am not a faculty member or teacher, but I need access
If you are a regular (non-student) member of the American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT), we can verify your educator status instantly through your AAPT account.
If you are not a member of the American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT), you'll need to tell us about where you work so that a person can check that you are an educator.
Verification may take 1-2 business days. We will email you when access is available.
We need an email address associated with your institution so that we can verify that you are who you say you are. This may or may not be the same as the email you use for your account.
Provide us with a link to a page at your institution that shows you are an educator: Things you can put in this box:
