Peer Instruction

What makes it unique?

Peer Instruction was designed to integrate active learning into a large lecture environment without making big changes to your class structure or physical environment, and without a big commitment. Any instructor can try out Peer Instruction by finding a good multiple-choice question, asking your students to turn to their neighbor and discuss the question, and then asking them to vote on the answer. While there are many ways to improve your implementation of Peer Instruction and you can keep learning about it for years, the barrier is low to trying it out and seeing results right away.
